Too often overshadowed by their more famous cousin, the matzoh ball, kreplachs are oversized Jewish dumplings made from chewy dough and bits of ground beef and onion, then boiled in chicken stock. The specimens at Ben’s aren’t pretty, but they’re satisfying—the way a bubbe would make them. A standard bowl comes with a single dumpling, though additional kreplachs can be added for $1.29 a pop.
